Parivarthana Business School (PBS) organised an anti-drug awareness programme titled “VIMUKTHI – A Step Towards a Drug-Free Mysuru” today at 12:00 PM on the PBS Campus. The initiative aimed to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and promote youth safety and social responsibility.
The programme was conducted by the guidance of the Principal Dr Raghunandan. G and the Managing Trustee B. V. Kumar in association with Mysuru City Police as part of their ongoing efforts to build a drug-free society. Students actively participated in the session, which highlighted the importance of staying away from drugs and contributing positively to the community
The chief guest for the event was Mr. Ravi Prasad, ACP, Vijayanagar Sub-Division, Mysuru City, who addressed the gathering on the role of youth in shaping a healthy society. In his speech, he emphasized awareness, self-discipline, and responsible choices among young people.
The institution also had the honour of welcoming police Inspector Arun L. and Police Sub-Inspector Gowtham Gowda from Metgalli Police Station, Mysuru, who shared valuable insights on law enforcement initiatives and community participation in preventing drug abuse.
The management and faculty of Parivarthana Business School expressed their gratitude to the police officers for their guidance and support. The programme concluded with a strong message encouraging students to stand united against drugs and work towards a safer future for Mysuru.
